Re: [atheists-8] Religulous movie

Well, I sent an e-mail to the Alamo to find out what kind of special arrangements could be made for a small to medium sized group.  I haven't heard back from them yet.  I would think if we all buy our tickets online ahead of time, we could get an accurate headcount and ask them to "reserve" a block of 20 seats, or however many we need.

Don't forget kiddies, in addition to the yummy food, the Downtown Alamo has a FULL BAR.  Maybe they'll have a special on Bloody Mary's

I'm not going to be there, but let me see if I can do some organizing here:

1. Does someone want to step up to coordinate getting people together
for this? If nothing else, I think you might want to meet someplace
nearby beforehand. If the group's big enough (I counted over a dozen
expressing interest so far), perhaps taking Paula's suggestion to call
Alamo and reserve an area to sit as a group.

2. Probably regardless of 1, you should buy your tickets online when
they go on sale. The tickets will be sold here:
https://www.originalalamo.com/online_tix/buy_new.asp?showing=117129
starting Monday September 29th.

3. Perhaps in addition to or as an alternative to 1, you may want to
sign up for the related CFI Meetup event here:
http://brights.meetup.com/281/calendar/8710255 . I know Marla, the
organizer, she's been to a few of our Atheist Meetups in the past, and
I'm pretty sure she would welcome the additional turnout.
