Introduction

Computer-programming, music-playing, people-watcher.

Why did you join the group?

I was tired of watching people :-)

What labels do you prefer when defining yourself (e.g., secular humanist, agnostic, atheist, skeptic)?

Atheist, probably more than Bill Maher or Richard Dawkins, lol!

  • Thanks Paul, eventually I'll make it over. It's a couple hundred miles but that's never stopped me before. The world is changing and we are a big part of that change. If the freethought community can come together as a freethought movement we will represent 25% of the electorate in 2016. We are putting together an Atheist convention over here this August in downtown Toledo Oh and I'll keep you posted. See you all at some point down the road.

  • Thank you, Paul for the Welcome note. i look forward to making it to one of the gatherings soon. However, I actually do go to church on Sunday mornings and am very involved in my congregation, so Sunday mornings are out. Confusing, eh? Just let me say, its a very open and welcoming liberal church.

  • Thank you for the kind Welcome, Paul! This is the first time I'm meeting with a group like this, and I can't tell you how relieved I am. I was so excited to find you guys. Living in Hamilton County can make a humanist feel incrediably isolated. An open conversation about religion will be refreshing with like-minded people. I'll see you Sunday.

  • Paul,

Thanks for your message. Yeah, it is nice to know I'm not the only one in the building. I don't know how many meetings I'll get to, but I'll like keeping track of when and where they are in case I am free to make one.

    Thanks!
    Doug
