Why did you join the group?

One of the benefits to being religious is having a community to turn to. If you don't believe in god or religion, the community is tremendously more spread out. It is, however, so much nicer to have people around that agree with you.

What labels do you prefer when defining yourself (e.g., secular humanist, agnostic, atheist, skeptic)?

I would have to say the simplest would be atheist. I am uncertain that we could ever really disprove the existence of god, but it's simply too unlikely to seriously consider. I would also add empiricist and naturalist. That is, our senses give us information about the physical world, and there is no such thing as supernatural.
