Workshop 8 – Wrap up

This workshop will contain group activities as well as the awarding of the free training in preparation to apply for Level I Certification.

The course in a nutshell:

As members of the WRTE you are being given the opportunity to take advantage of this exciting opportunity for FREE.

This workshop series will cover important information on aspects of communication that you may have forget about.(Click here to view the course outline)

Delivered by Randy Verdone, a Certified Peer Coach (CPC) who brings over 18 years of experience together in order to provide peer coaching in a unique way. Randy's patience, understanding, knowledge and background provide the perfect combination of knowledge and experience to draw his material from. Despite currently teaching a Computer Basics Course at ACCKWA as well as being involved with various personal coaching clients, Randy is a single father of two, still finds the time to customize, redevelop and deliver valuable training programs (such as this) to various non=profit organizations.

The workshop series that has been developed for the WRTE is one of his best.

So what will you learn and how would it impact you?

• You will learn to "listen" in new ways.

• You will be able to identify and set Personal Boundaries and understand their importance to the time-bank movement.

• You will receive valuable experience in coping with and building relationships between people with different personal value systems.

And that is just the beginning. As an added bonus, Randy will provide to one individual the complete training required in order to apply to become a Certified Peer Trainer. (for complete rules you must attend the first workshop).

For that one lucky individual that means a savings of over $[masked]! (Some of the roles that a Certified Peer Trainer can fill include peer counsellor, peer mentor, peer helperpeer facilitator, peer mediator, peer tutor)

This workshop series is not set up to educate, rather it is set up to allow learning through a variety of activities.

So take the time to attend, learn a few things, meet some new people, strengthen existing friendships and most importantly LET'S HAVE FUN!

I hope to see you all there!!

Randy, my first reaction is that we were lucky to have you teaching us this course, not only because the value of the course and its contents, but also, because of the extensiveness in your life and deep experience in suffering and overcoming life challenges.

Sharing with us not only what you have learned, but also, what you have been through and how to win yourself at the end, had made the difference in the taste of our 8-session course we spent together.

I really recommend that you do this again, again and again.. Your course (or any adopted version of it) and the interaction that is based upon it, had made it very valuable to every learning withing WRTE community and the larger one in our Region.

We have had the last workshop in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing. For those of you that attended every session I will be providing 1person the complete training to apply for level 1certification. Please look over and get a better understanding of what is involved. Let me know who is still interested in completing the training and a draw will be made if needed. Thank you for your support and attendance.
