I'll second Eric's comment; the new version of Navicat took it from good to great. I've purchase the the upgrade and am enjoying it very much already.

    All,

I just received a notice that the Navicat database browser software is receiving a major update - it may be worth checking out if you're looking for a better way to interact with your MySQL databases.

After Wednesday's meeting, I looked for a walkthrough covering plugin basics - http://www.packtpub.com/article/anatomy-wordpress-plugin is pretty good. Also, the database browser Micah was using is http://www.navicat.com/ - there's an "Essentials" version for the major DB systems that's very inexpensive - not sure if it has the extra functionality Mike referred to.
