Atlanta Classical Music (Plus Some Other Arts Events) Message Board › Meeting the musicians, and finding new concerts to attend
|A former member||
It occurs to me that several events we've been to lately have been intimate low-key affairs where the fans in the Meetup group can actually meet and hang out with the musicians in addition to attending a concert. I find that sort of thing quite enjoyable. However, on the other hand, we need to also have events where we are attending a big concert with a more formal presentation, because that has its own appeal.
Atlanta Classical Music Meetup is different than most Meetup groups in that we don't mount our own events; we get together and decide to meet each other at public concerts put on by others. We are a truly democratic group and we want to do whatever our members nominate for us to do.
I want to remind you that each music fan in this Meetup group can find a concert they'd like to go to and post it as a proposed event on our Web site. If more than three members indicate that they want to go, it becomes an official group event. So don't wait on us sponsors and hosts to list new events. Please search out and identify concerts out there that you'd just like to go to with some friends. You can post your own proposed event by logging into the Web site, or you can send me an email with all the details and I'll make a listing for you.
