Next meeting in two weeks (see below) we will hold a meeting with newcomers especially in mind) to cover some of the basics of integral philosopy. Then on the 2nd Saturday in October we will begin a group discussion of Carter Phipps exciting new book "Evoloutionaries". Hope you can make it to Roswell on Saturday morning's to join us. Most of our meetings are at the Unitarian Church on Crapapple Road and begin at 9:45. Usually we go to lunch afterward and you are welcome to join us.
Ken Wilber: Integral Philosophy We will have a series of introductory meetings before starting off on a new topic. Our overarching question is "What does it mean to be spiritual in this age of reason." Integral Philosophy attempts to integrate the great wisdoms from the eastern religions, Christianity, and western philosophy, as well as insights from the teachings of Newton, Einstein, Freud, and Darwin. Our most recent topic, Wilber's A Brief History of Everything, addresses causes and impacts of the loss of spirituality in the modern world. Some of the topics which have engaged us are: Spiral Dynamics, the shadow in personal development, the meaning of consciousness and the role of evolution. The readings and discussions influence our individual worldviews, help us to learn about our own psyches, and reveal new spiritual horizons. Regular meetings are the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month and newcomers are always welcome - try us out! The first newcomer's meeting is Saturday, 22 September at 9:45 am in Discovery Hall. UUMAN, 11420 Crabapple Rd, Roswell, GA, 30075. Contact Dale Wilson[masked] for questions.
