I would like to focus on sprouts. I don't have enough light for herbs in the house. I have a small greenhouse, but I don't try to heat it to summer temps at night, so my basil died whenever I tried to sustain it into the winter months. While I have a few things to learn about sprouting and may need to invest in some equipment, it seems like the most economical way to grow winter food in the house. I am planning for collard greens and parsley outdoors in the cool months, maybe aided by a low tunnel.

When will this class be scheduled? I'd love to attend. I've been making indoor herb gardens out of upcycled wood and containers such as mason jars, wine bottles etc. So fun! See pic!!

YES YES YES! The new running joke in our house is every time I grab an indoor plant and start complaining in regards to not being able to keep it alive my partner says "its inside...everything outside thrives, but you have yet to get the hang of the indoor stuff". Ugh, can be so frustrating - i've been trying to succeed at growing sage indoors for over a year :/

I brought Parsley and Chives inside, some anyway and bought sage and thyme as mine outside had died during the summer but realized the small plants are not enough but I do not have more space and have been wondering how to make more space.

Vertical gardens might do the trick. There are many different forms and styles. I have seen them made with everything from soda bottles to bricks to recycled pallets.

I used to garden in New England and did well, not so much here in Georgia. I am interested but have little time so it would depend where the meeting would be.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
