Let's Meet to Buy Transplants for a Fall Garden

Let's meet at a local nursery or whole foods to buy transplants for planting a fall garden. Once a decision is made on where to meet, I’ll contact the place and let them know how many people have RSVP’d so they can be sure to have plenty of plants on hand. I’ll be looking for broccoli, collards, arugula, swiss chard, kales, radicchio, spinach, lettuces, Brussels sprouts, mustard, cabbage (white and purple), onions, shallots and garlic, among other things. What fall vegetables will you be looking for? First time gardeners welcome as well as very seasoned folks. Bring your ideas and questions for what to plant and how, and we’ll work together so everybody goes home happy with their plants and knows how to plant them. Seed savers feel free to bring seeds to swap and/or share with newcomers. We can also bring plants we’ve divided and have extras to share. I'm still looking for a good place with organic transplants - I know Whole Foods in Sandy Springs was selling them this spring. Anybody have suggestions of a good place to meet? Thanks, Laura

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
