Atlanta Painters provides a community for 2-D artists in the Atlanta, GA area. We have a networking event once a month and creative opportunities throughout the year including:
Creative networking, Plein air painting sessions, Figure/portrait painting sessions, Art marketing opportunities, Gallery and opening visits, Museum visits, and Critiques.
We hope to inspire and motivate you, the artist, to believe in yourself and the value of your creative pursuits. Art adds value to society by maintaining the emotional and spiritual side of our culture and its individuals. I wasn't thrilled about trying to paint outside so early in the morning, but I've found there are great rewards if you stick with it! The lunch is a fantastic reward for getting out there and making some kind of an image. It just feels right to work hard on a painting and then sit and relax with other artists and just enjoy the day! Read more
