     Software Craftsmanship is a good meetup. Definately nice to see issues solved functionally. The only concern are the examples. They are college level, mathematically examples. It's very difficult to find business cases in the average world to apply examples. I've no doubt that Scala and Clojure are good alternatives to OOP, but without practical business case examples, it's very difficult convincing employeers to adopt these technologies. You have to dumb it down for the business world. If there were an article addressing business cases that would be excellent.
