Wednesday Paddle - Stone Mountain

  • May 1, 2013 · 6:00 PM
  • Stone Mountain Park

Hi All... When first started paddling, I used to like to go for some late afternoon or evening paddles at Stone Mountain Park. Scheduling one for this Wednesday and see who'd like to join, maybe making it a recurring event. Meet to take a midweek break, swap lies (as I like to say), maybe even swap boats a little for the curious... at 6 pm. Try for boats in the water by about 6:15 (but no hurry). Will paddle two miles or so and turn around, getting back to the boat ramp probably a little after sunset.

We'll meet at the Stone Mountain Park boat ramp. Be aware that there is a $10 fee to enter the Stone Mountain Park if you don't have a park pass.

If you have questions or need more information please contact Glen Smith,[masked], [masked]. If I don't have your email address and phone number please get them to me so that I can contact you if there are any late changes.

P.S.   The "not attending" list intended is for those that originally RSVP Yes but change to No.  If you don't RSVP Yes, please, I assume you are not going.

So you and Joe are going to schedule recurring paddles at the same time on Wednesday. Perhaps one of you will switch to Tuesday.

The idea was that some folks would be closer to one paddle and some to the other. I guess if you live in the middle, you can alternate!

I've never paddled at Stone Mountain and it was beautiful. Can't wait to do it again.

I have not picked up my kayak yet but if you do make it a recurring thing I will be there for future meets.
