Georgia Conservancy Whitewater Day

Mark your calendars: August 17th is Georgia Conservancy Whitewater Day! Join the Georgia Conservancy, Whitewater Express, Whitewater Columbus and Uptown Columbus for a whitewater weekend extravaganza that includes a rip-roaring good time down the newly christened Columbus, GA whitewater course and an after-party hosted at The Loft in downtown Columbus.(Heads up parents - there is a 7-years-old and up age limit for the paddling.)

Georgia Conservancy guests will meet at 3:00 p.m. at the Phenix City, AL offices of Whitewater Express [masked]th Street, Phenix City, AL) and shuttle up river to start our paddle down the longest urban whitewater course in the world!

(Don’t believe there is sufficient whitewater in Columbus? Watch this!)

After the paddle we will change clothes and meet at The Loft for Generation Green’s Save Water, Drink Beer Columbus.

YES: every paddler is invited to The Loft to attend Save Water, Drink Beer – which includes food and two SweetWater beers - as our guest!

Any paddler wearing a Heartland Rivers of Georgia shirt for the Georgia Conservancy gets an extra SweetWater beer.

  • $30 per person
  • $50 per couple
  • $75 per family of four (must include at least one person under the age of 18)

Hi is this for anyone to attend? I am 2 hours drive from this event but I have some friends that might want to go.
Do the prices include everything we need for the event?

Some friends and I are camping by a lake just North of Columbus on Friday and Saturday night (we are also going to the GC Whitewater Day). Plenty of campsites still available at $18/night (1 tent/site). Yes, there are hot showers and electricity at the campsites. You'll have to make your own reservations, but if interested message me on here for details.
