Training kayak paddle on the Hooch

Looking for a good workout? Paddling upstream on the Hooch provides just that. It's almost 5 miles upstream to Abbotts Bridge and there are a few shoals to paddle up and through. By paddling upstream, you can choose your own pace and turn around when you've had enough.

Nice paddle. This stretch of river is beautiful. There was a cold fog on the river as well that made it even nicer. We saw many birds and even a beaver. We missed the group heading out; they actually hit the water at 5 rather than meeting at 5. I didn't see the email with that direction. It would be helpful if that was noted on the meetup. We met the group leader as she returned to the put in and she paddled up the river with us for a while.

Forecast looks kinda wet. Will the paddle continue if raining / thunderstorms?
