Cold weather won't keep me off the river. Richard and I go swimming in February. (He pulled me out, actually.)

I see "experience" and skill "level" as two aspects. My first experience on the Saco River in Maine in the Spring of 1973 had my wife and I in a strainer (she doesn't trust me any more). My skills have improved but I stay in less violent water.
Flatwater suits me but I find an occasional chute or a run through shoals is enjoyable. (How do river cleanups classify?)
If I get out once a month I'm doing well but take a week from work to support Paddle Georgia in June. (Weekends in the Spring you may find me tabling at GWTF or REI paddle demos.)
It's doubtful, I joined a paddle group to get away from real life (you don't want to go there). I wonder about members who belong to two dozen MeetUp groups . . . where do they find the time?
A congenial group enjoyed a beautiful day on the river.
Thanks Peter for joining the Atlanta Environment Meetup -- and for the official head count @Critical Mass. 474??! I still get amped just looking at that number, or seeing so many cyclists ON ATLANTA ROADS! I knew this city could use a shakeup! lol Hope we get a chance to connect at our next few outings
