Introduction

As a 59 yr old grandmother of 14, I raise happy, wholesome, successful babes on the river. I believe that paddling gives kids a chance to discover their inner strengths & determination to complete things, along with a love of mother nature

Why did you decide to join this group?

What would you say your experience level is?(we like all levels, but it may help us target events)

My experience is long, but I don't do more than class II if I can help it.

What type of paddling do you typically do?(flatwater, whitewater, sea)

Calm, relaxing paddling on lovely lakes and lazy rivers with lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery

How often do you typically paddle?(once a month, once a week, etc)

once a week or more, when it's warm

Would you participate in social events with this group, even if paddling wasn't involved?

yes, if it involved other outdoor activities like hiking, biking or camping. My favorite events combine these events including paddling, with experienced, knowledgeable guides. The GA Conservancy offers trips & events worthy of duplication

Thanks for the welcome, Marie. I hope to paddle with you soon. Got my Tsunami 145 for the Altamaha trip. It's kind of a tight squeeze for my behind, but I can get in and out with a can opener, and several strong friends, no problem. Should be a fabulous trip.

Marie, that sounds heavenly, but I am on a contract with a Jan. 31 drop dead date. Cannot make plans for that weekend. I will keep an eye out for another opportunity.
