In response to Matt Zavadil about flat water paddles--so sorry if this goes to everyone. I cannot figure out how to reply only to Matt:
Joe and I would be interested in joining you in trying to find some flat water to paddle around North Georgia. We are accustomed to paddling the slow, shallow creeks and rivers of northwest Florida and do not feel ready to do swift, rocky water. We live in Roswell. You can email me at [address removed].
Joe paddles a sit-in Old Town kayak. I paddle a Mohawk Odyssey canoe. Joe is much more experienced than I am.
We look forward to hearing from you.
