Atlanta Bloggers February Meetup

This location is shown only to members

After January's Hot Topics and Trends for 2010, we had a tremendous conversation. and one of the main topics was based around video. Video will be changing the landscape in how we surf the web and blogs.

I have invited Amani Channel to come and share some thoughts on video and blogging.
His Session will be The 1,2,3s of Social Media and Video Production

In this session award-winning video producer and blogger Amani Channel will share video production techniques, tips, and secrets to enhancing your social media presence through video. He'll cover: basic cameras, and equipment; basic lighting, and shooting; the scripting process; and announcing/on-camera best practices. If you've ever thought of starting a YouTube channel, adding your own videos to your blog, or covering events in your community with video, this is a conversation you don't want to miss.

If you have not heard or seen Amani, here is a little about him,

Amani Channel, an award-winning video producer and a specialist in traditional and new media, is the Founder and Sr. Producer of Visual Eye Media, a video relations company, and he is the content manager at Public Broadcasting Atlanta for Lens on Atlanta, the first regionally-focused online community in the country to be sponsored by public broadcasting. Prior to joining PBA, Amani worked as a journalist. His content, commentaries, and reports have been featured on on NPR, APTN (Associated Press Television News), CNN, Headline News, Fox News Channel, BET, Black Family Channel, HDNews, and across the Web. Amani also founded a vlog/podcast called www.MyUrbanReport.com , where he’s produced hundreds of podcasts an mobile videos. He shoots, edits, and is the talent for the citizen journalism-styled videos. Amani speaks at conferences, workshops, and universities across the country about traditional and new media. He’s taught video production at Kennesaw State University, Hillsborough Community College and the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Tampa, Fl.

I know I can not wait to hear him and promise you do not want to miss this.

Look forward to it.

I'm looking forward to meeting some fellow bloggers to just discuss things like content, promotion and even some technical things like domain redirection, advertising and what not. Can't wait to meet you all!
