Atlanta Bloggers Monthly Meetup - Blogging Workshop

  • Jul 6, 2011 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

For July's Meetup we're going to have a panel of experts set up at different tables. You can work the room if you want or choose a table to stay at. Each table will be able to pull up your websites upon request to provide constructive critique, and ways to help improve your blog(s), or show off some ways that other members are executing a particular topic very well.

This should be a great workshop! We look forward to seeing you guys on July 6th!

I'm a mostly self-taught website designer/developer and semi-professional technology consultant. I have lived in or near Atlanta my whole life (suburbs mostly) and enjoy taking part in Technology related events around town. In the 10+ years that I have been making websites I have had the opportunity to play with a lot of web technology from blogging platforms to content management systems, to CRM's and custom cloud apps. I'm a huge supporter of open source web technology and spend a lot of time evangelizing open source technology such as WordPress, Linux and more.

Emma Loggins is the founder and editor of the popular entertainment site  where she updates daily on the latest entertainment news, DVD reviews, celebrity interviews, her opinions on current happenings in the media, screening/filmi ng/casting opportunities, and more. The site currently has over 110,000 subscribers and receives 1 million hits per month.

It was probably one of the best that I attended. I set at Russell's table, and he complete went over every question(s) that we presented. Straight, detailed, concise, and present us with best tips and solutions.

Only downside, i was unable to sit at the other tables, due to me being some involved with his topic! I needed that information more-that go round. I'm looking forward to the next meeting!!!
    Thanks Russell,

My only regret is that I didn't allow myself enough time to stay...way longer.
Bret Phillips was very helpful as resident guru of SEO. He seemed able and willing to speak to any and all questions. Why regret? I never made it to an other table! And I would have stayed even longer, if my time permitted, at the SEO table.

A long time blogger, this was only my 2nd time attending the meetup due to my schedule. Learned so much from Bret Phillips. While I thought we were on the right track, it was great to confirm our approach as well as learn tips to measure the impact we are making as a blog. Look forward to future meetups.

Excellent presentations by everyone. I think that all attendees would have liked to have spent more time with each presenter.

This was one more worthwhile eve of blog experience. 3 tables with different topics had something for everyone and too much of a good thing. Excellent. See you next time.

Appropriately awesome. I just upgraded to WP so spending two hours with Russell was incredibly helpful!
