A word of caution to new members, I often have people join and I don't hear from them and they don't come out, and about anywhere from 1-3 months later they email me with horror stories. There are a lot of people in this group that have been through a lot, and what they have to offer could be very beneficial. We are not attorneys, and we do not give legal advice, but we are fathers and we speak from experience and from lessons learned (sometimes the hard way).

Fathers, especially those that wish to remain a very influential part of their children's lives face many challenges when it comes to divorce, custody, the legal system, etc.

We are a group of custodial and non-custodial fathers coming together to promote the importance and need of fatherhood after the breakup of the traditional family. This is a place where you can discuss what you are going through in the legal system, get advice from others that have been there, and find emotional support for all you are going through. Where you can talk to others to help work through those tough decisions. Where you can get out with Dads in the same situation. You can even discuss parenting issues, and issue facing our children today.

All dads who are going through, have been through, or expect to go through the family court system are welcome. You need not be the parent with majority physical custody of your kid(s) to join, in fact the only requirement I have for membership is you wish to play a significant positive role in the lives of your child(ren). If you have already been through the system, there is a lot that you can offer the others in this group.
