Back in 1986, a girl I knew in 8th grade found out that I was a total geek for the Brit SciFi show 'The Tomorrow People', so she told me about 'Doctor Who', thinking I would totally be interested in checking it out. She told me when it was on PBS and after consequently watching it that weekend, I was in total love.
Tough question, as it can change depending on mood. I think right now my heart is with Eleven, but classically I really love Seven as well. Ten was my Doctor for quite a while, but while I'm a huge fan of Tennant, I think ultimately I'm not as pleased with his Doctor's story arc on the whole (especially toward the end) and like him more in *theory* than in reality. I still have a bit of a soft-spot for him, though, if I'm honest.
Martha Jones is probably the one I love most, even speaking as an old!school fan. I've always had a thing for the smart and/or independent girls. I also really love Amy (the companion probably the most like me, FWIW), Ace, Nyssa, Leela, Liz, and Zoe.
Would it be a cliche to say the Master? I mean, I have my favorite incarnations of him (read: Delgado) and like some versions better than others (Ainley is hit or miss for me, I'm afraid, as is Simm), but overall I think he is my favorite. I think he is definitely the perfect foil -- the Moriarty, as it were -- for the Doctor. And I love that. Otherwise, I'm pretty geeky for the Time Lord villains -- the Rani (I know she's camp, but...), Omega, Borusa, old-series!Rassilon, etc. As for non-Time Lords, I quite like the robots from 'The Robots of Death', mostly from a visual point of view. Very 'Mr Roboto'-esque.
Hello, my name is Nicole. I've been a fan of Doctor Who since 1986 when I first saw the show on PBS, though admittedly I've become an even more ardent fan since the new series. Oh, and I'm a rollergirl-in-training with a Whovian name -- Nitro Nina.
