The CMS Debate

This is a really smart group. Instead of a talking head ask-the-expert format, let's openly (and respectfully) debate the value of the CMS solutions our members are using.

You'll spend 20 minutes comparing notes with others who use a similar solution and then appoint a spokesperson to extol the collectively agreed upon top virtues of your preferred CMS for another 5-10 minutes (depending on the variety of solutions explored). Then we'll just riff a Q&A that takes us wherever we need to go from there. I'll take notes and send out a comparison list as a follow-up.

If you don't have a CMS preference, you can just lurk, listen, and learn.

With 36 No-Shows, we had to shift gears on the fly and the event looked very different than originally planned. I'm a big believer in "love the one you are with" and super appreciative that those who attended contributed to a lively and informative conversation. That said, there were no notes to share as the conversation was more tailored and personal.

As always I look forward to opportunities to connect with other in our design community. Last nights meetup was a success for me. An chance to discuss CMS and other facets of web development with experienced designers. Thanks Sherra and Lori for hosting once again. I look forward to the next meetup.

A small group of people who showed up. We had a great discussion, but more representation of Joomla was sorely missed.

Please send out notes. I can't attend, but I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts.

I would like to attend and to offer the insights, victories, and frustrations of a graphic designer who has been using varied CMS for six years. I vote for the West Side Arts district or Buckhead.

I would love to attend but would like a date and location set first. I am in the process of choosing a CMS for my outdoor club's main site.
