The Atlanta Hungarian Meetup Group was founded on May 11, 2004 by Anne Lynch. Nine people showed up. We now have over 390 registered members along with their families! Our purpose is to form an active Hungarian community in Atlanta that will connect Hungarians, Hungarian-Americans, Hungarian speakers, and anyone interested in any of the above. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN OUR GROUP! We are a social group that meets for coffee, dinner, and pretty much anything that sounds like fun.
We are a group that runs based on the participation of our members and we encourage everyone to volunteer to host an event. It can be large or small. If you are interested in organizing an outing please contact me with the title of your event, date, time, location, and the maximum amount of people that can attend. I can set up the RSVPs to stop once the maximum is reached. Past examples are potluck BBQs, bowling, meeting for coffee, or going to Stone Mountain as a group.
The Atlanta Hungarian Meetup also advertises events that may be of interest to you or your family. The majority of these events are those of the Hungarian Community Church of Georgia.
Please note that the goal of The Atlanta Hungarian Meetup is to connect people and to foster a positive caring community. I reserve the right to remove posts from the message board that are irrelevant, controversial, political, or out dated. I require that all new members post a picture of themselves or their family and that it be appropriate. Thank you for your cooperation.
Welcome! We can't wait to meet you!
Anne
