Thanks to Steven, Brent and their wonderful assistants for keeping things running in my absence these last few months.

November 18th will be the last meeting of the year so I thought we'd try to some new things:

1) A Template Introduction: we'll take the majority of two hours at the Alpharetta class to give you an solid introduction to Joomla templates. To get the most out of this, you'll need to:

* Bring a laptop
* Have access to a Joomla test site, either on your laptop or live with a hosting company

2) A Charity Introduction: a group of Joomla users are getting together to raise money for Doctors Without Borders: http://www.firstgiving.com/joomla-users

We're looking for donations (tickets, components, work) that we can auction. Email me if you can help.

Joomla Case Studies: Challenges and solutions

For October we are presenting 4 design/functionality challenges and how Joomla was used to meet the challenge.

Joomla Online Catalog Solutions by 3 by 400

We are currently lining up our speakers, so if you are interested in presenting your challenge and solution let one of the organizers know we would love to see what you have done.

Who Should Attend
Anyone who works with Joomla or has a Joomla website an would like to learn more about best practices.

This months meeting will involve migrating Joomla 1.0.X sites to 1.5 and beyond. I am looking for anyone with any experience who would like to share and I would also love for someone to do a demo of the conversion components:
