I have a client that wants to have a FB like page integrated into her Joomla site and I can't really tell which of the 2 exts are better.

Can I get some feedback on the pros and cons and the experiences that any of you had with these components?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I haven't used Joomsocial, although out of the box appearance-wise it is superior. My experience a few years ago with CB is that if you are particular about appearance, you may have to take a lot of time custimizing to look nice, especially if you have a non-default template you'd want to match.

As for me, adding the features by way of new extensions, just seemed to end up with a "pieced together" appearance, if you didn't take time out to customize. As for the functionality of CB, after some tweaking, It's great for a freebie!!

Good luck and I'd like to hear more from others on this - it's really a hot item these days.

For another OS option, you could also look at an Elgg (http://elgg.org...) integration. There are two Joomla extentions for this: JConneckt (http://www.jconnekt.o...) and JFusion (http://www.jfusion.or....
