  • The Emerald City Programming Group will once again be starting to work through "Ruby on Rails Tutorial" by Michael Hartl ( We will be using the second edition of the book, which covers Rails 3.2. Our next meeting will be September 8th from 10:00am to 12:00pm. For this meeting, we'll be covering how to set up Ruby & Rails, which is covered in the first part of Chapter 1.

    Do you have windows based RVM setup commands? I don't think that was covered today. Where can I access these commands? I can't seem to find them.

      Installation was mentioned, which is "gem install pik". I didn't go any further because pik doesn't support the concept of gem set management, which is the primary reason for using rvm.
