Search Discovery has built a game changing product in the web application development space. It plays in the ballpark with tag management systems but its so much more than that it would be a disservice to stuff it in that box.
We intend to grow an in-house team of exceptional developers. The technology product is a Ruby on Rails web application, built against a javascript application interface, intended to be managed by web site administrators, business analysts, agencies and marketing teams. The javascript takes over from there to control the browser and its behavior in the hands of the end consumer. We've used the best of the best to bring it this far. Its time to take ownership and continue to innovate at a head-spinning pace while we finally solve some of the toughest problems sophisticated website managers face. We're looking for two developers to start the ball rolling. The culture is casual but passionate. We love technology, we love web optimization, we are thrilled with delivery and frustrated by inefficiency. You should be, too. We're located in Midtown, Atlanta, GA. Work is something we are excited about and enjoy on a daily basis. You might say we're professional fanatics. Once you see Satellite, you'll see why. We're flexible about most things: hours, working from home, etc. The product development line is new but the company is an established, stable, profitable search optimization and analytics agency. Does this describe you ? You love technology and are a true RoR disciple. You refuse to write code without a test in place first. You love marking stories as delivered and you know what a good story looks like. You know how to estimate your work by complexity and why that's important. You get inappropriately excited at the site of a good domain model. You refactor constantly. You contribute to Open Source, or you want to. You attend every user group and technology event you possibly can and even present when you have something interesting to share. By day you are a professional developer, by night you code for fun (but not always). You think good Javascript is beautiful. You know what prototype means in Javacscript (an alternative to JQuery is the wrong answer). You feel dirty when you cut and paste. We're not just looking for a code monkey to bust out some scripts. We're looking for someone who will fit in well in our small family of passionate individuals and will be excited and rewarded owning a revolutionary product. Edited by Rusty on Feb 6, 2012 1:33 PM |
