I am just now learning to surf - I spent 9 days learning to surf at Myrtle Beach, and am hooked. I want to find ways to get back to the coast and surf.
The only place I've surfed is North Myrtle Beach...
to meet other surfers and possibly plan trips
I'd like to hook up with other surfers and plans trips to the coast
Sept. 1 - 11, 2010, during hurricane Earl. It was humbling and exhilirating

You're a fast learner. There is no best time! Can be fun surf any time following a weather event. Hurricanes and northeasters are best. Fronts moving thru spring and fall can produce one day or even only a few hrs of waves. One of those places you have to be there and ready. A little farther travel up to Wilmington area is much more apt to have really good surf in situations as above, but more predictable and always bigger and better. Plug into Magicseaweed.co
m. Has been really accurate this yr
Hey Suzy, welcome to the surfing lifestyle. One truly worth living! I spent most of my life in NMB, but now a Ga. mountain inhabitant. The spirit lives on, no matter where you live. Once a surfer, always a surfer!
Welcome to the group. Beginners are always welcome on the trips I organize. Safety first. If it's too big, you don't paddle out. It's fun anyways. I sent you an email on the trip details. Hope you can make it.
