Designish: Behind, beneath, and between the comps

Designish: Behind, beneath, and between the comps

Quality "pixelcraft" is the hallmark of a skilled web designer: engineering complex, stunning code that dances between today's zoo of digital devices with ease; artfully drawing up wireframes with both industrial utility and user experience in mind; understanding the importance of sturdy, responsive websites that shine. Luckily for the rest of us artisans in training, becoming the Machiavelli of the Mac is not - in fact - mission impossible. Let’s unearth what the modern-day designer’s job really looks like, and explore some treasures more important than our Photoshop canvases.

Come one, come all to Dan Mall's talk on July 26th!

About the Speaker:

A native son of Philadelphia, Dan works as the Founder and Design Director at SuperFriendly, where he defeats apathy and the forces of evil daily, with heroic creative direction, design, and strategy. He also co-founded Typedia and swfIR, while also devoting his time and musical talents to contemporary Christian band Four24.

Formerly, Dan took up residence as Design Director at Big Spaceship (where he helped build this insanely Star Wars encyclopedia), Interactive Director at Happy Cog, and technical editor for the ever popular techie haven, A List Apart. Today, he writes about smart design and other issues on Twitter, and his industry recognized website, danielmall.com.

We can't wait to welcome Dan to the stage, and hear from one of design's most buzzed about young guns. Join us, won't you?

As a marketing person I learned a lot about DESIGN plus more on how it fits into working with others. This information increases my ability to influence business prospects decisions on interactive internet marketing and website development.
