Atlanta Tech Holiday Party

Holiday Cocktails!

You know how the saying goes. Every time a webbie throws down, an angel gets its wings.

Right? Right. Push the pixels aside and pick up a peppermint stick (or schnapps, if you’re truly into holiday spirits) while you ring in the holiday cheer with a few hundred of your closest friends.

Wait. Did you say open bar?

Yes. Yes we did. Our sponsors have gifted us with gelt, so the drinks will be free  and the munchies plentiful.

Where, you ask?

We’re headed back to our old haunt, Fado in Buckhead. They’ve agreed to let us take over the entire left side of the bar downstairs, and promised to keep the music bumping and the drinks flowing. Suckers.

Oh yeah. We have door prizes, too.

The shindig is somewhere between kitschy and classy, and since we believe in seasonal spectacles, we’ll be putting on an Ugly Sweater Contest where the winner will receive top-tier prizes and gift cards. Can you say iPad Mini?

You should RSVP now.

So call on Donner, Dasher, Prancer and …was it Vixen? Anyway, the point is, slip on your most dashing decorative apparel and join us for this year’s very happening holiday party.

And tell some friends on Twitter and Facebook. Everyone loves a party. Ho-ho-hope to see you there!

I had a GREAT time last night. I can't believe I wore that sweater and let so many people snap pics of it. I hope it does not come back to haunt me.

It was nice to get out in my new city and rub shoulders with a group of bright people and I'm glad I went. The few people I had a chance to speak with were very nice. It was essentially a crowded bar, nothing more, nothing less. The people who knew others stayed huddled in their cliques. Not really conducive to meeting new people unless you barged into someone's closed conversation. Those who were new and didn't know anyone stayed tucked over by the walls and exits, just like in most bars. The ad said there was an 'open bar'. Two drink tickets is not an open bar.

The iPad Mini winner Natalia's ugly Christmas sweater was amazing. She had an electric toy train going around her waist.
