About the Workshop

This workshop will be held in three (3) sessions with four SEO mini-presentations between each session. For We'll pair two (2) SEO pros to six (6) attendees per table where everyone will get one of their websites reviewed during the workshop. This means attendees will get to watch during the site reviews of your fellow attendees. After each session we'll break and then play musical chairs, but with enough chairs for everyone. This will give attendees a chance meet more SEOs and attendees and go beyond the normal chit-chat that is usually all that happens at most networking events.

Registration is $20 and must be paid in advance in order to reserve a seat for the Workshop.

Hi Lena, sorry, no onsite-registration for this event. Given the workshop format, we can only accomodate a limited number of attendees. We'll need to have everyone RSVP in advance.

I thought the night as a whole was great. I learned a lot.. However, there were some "Seo experts" who knew less than I do, so I had to be selective about who I talked to.. There were some really great experts too - such as Charles Lumpkin - highly recommended.. Charles really listened to what the real problem was for me with my SEO and really came up with great suggestions for alternatives to try.. I have already tried a lot of SEO options so I know he came up with good suggestions based on a lot of experience..

One of the most engaging groups out there. Glad I'm a member.

Awesome - terrific networking event. HUGE kudos to Mike Schinkel for organizing. All site reviewees loved the assistance while all SEO pros (especially myself) tremendously enjoyed the opportunity to meet other SEO pros from the metro area. My only comment is that it was HOT in that room. Wonder if we could get the AC cranked up a bit since we have all those computers and monitors in one room.

I had a wonderful time at the SEO event. It was a pleasure sharing my knowledge and assisting others with their websites. I provided fundamental tips and tools that they can implement right away towards seeing results in the organic search engine rankings. Mike Schinkel, Thank you for the opportunity! I wish you all much SUCCESS! I'll see you at the top of Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the rest... Africa Riviera, Web Consultant http://Your... [masked] (or) [masked] Follow me on twitter: Africa_at_YHS

I learned a lot from the SEO pros, especially Jeremiah and Andy, who did a great job of reviewing sites.

This SEO workshop was great and very helpful. So much so it should be done more than once or twice a year like a separate event from the regular monthly meeting. There are always more people that want to come then space available. I heard about the last event by the time it was closed. And starting at 6 puts the ones that draw the 3rd postision at a disadvantage if they have to get up early. If I could suggest doing a quarterly or semi annual Saturday all day event that members could pay and pick a time slot that would also help with the time issue. You could get more sponsors (From members or related areas) to pay for 2 breaks and a lunch. This way people that just have time to come to their session could and the ones that want to see others would have the opportunity. Also having them on Saturday you could have the other speakers present longer, or over and over all day in smaller separate rooms for ones not being helped during that time. The handouts where great. Thanks again Mike!!

Africa Riviera was a great help. Learned a lot and that's a great tip about meta tags.

Format of mtg was well though-out and informative. Handout - EXCELLENT. Due to the number of people it was somewhat hard to hear when in the group of 6 attendees and 2 SEO experts. Some of the SEO experts were better than others in terms of their approach and expertise. Overall, a super mtg!

  • Daniel MacLagan
The SEO Event was extremely informative. I learned some really good info that I'll be implementing soon. Also met a lot of really nice people and helped where I could.
  • Bobby Kircher
Mike and the AWE crew did a great job throwing this event. With three speakers and three breakout sessions, many website owners were able to get some great SEO tips from experienced pros and I'm sure the pros learned a bit from some of the other pros. Great bang for the buck.

This SEO workshop was one of the BEST meeting, gathering, groups I have EVER attended - great interesting people, virtually free EXPERT Advice and even sandwiches after a long day. My husband just spend $1000 for a workshop in Chicago and I bet I got just has much out of this one in 3 hours in Atlanta from great people I can meet up with again! Truly a value at 10 times the price!
