Atlanta has long been associated with the telecommunications industry, and especially the innovative parts of it. We're also the most active Asterisk Users Group that I've seen, and the only one with a booth for the past several years at AstriCon. That's something to be proud of.
For these reasons and others, we decided to hold the 4th AdhearsionConf
in Atlanta (technically: Decatur) this year. For those of you who may not be familiar, AdhearsionConf is the annual gathering of Telephony/Voice/Real-Time Communications app developers. While centered around the Adhearsion
community, it also gets into all the related aspects, such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Speech Recognition and Text-To-Speech. New this year is a focus on the brand new WebRTC standard, which I'm personally convinced is going to help (continue to) turn our industry on its head.
I'm particularly excited this year because we have some *truly* great speakers:
* Matt Jordan, Asterisk Project Leader
* Chris Rienzo, FreeSWITCH committer, author of mod_rayo
* Ben Langfeld, Adhearsion project core team
* Jose de Castro, Tropo CTO and WebRTC luminary
AdhearsionConf will be held December 4th and 5th. Early bird ticket pricing is still available for another week or two. We also have a great rate at the hotel, in case you're coming from anywhere very OTP or just want to stay out at the Brick Store Pub until the wee hours.
I hope to see you there!
