Welcome Atlanta Young Professionals!
My name is Aaron and Meetup.com has helped me make some great friends and expand my social circle here in Atlanta. I remember dreading the feeling of not having any weekend activities to look forward to when I was constantly traveling for work each week....not fun.
I knew Atlanta had plenty to offer when it came to fun activities (epic nightlife, delicious restaurants, outdoor music festivals, etc.), but it was just hard to motivate myself to go out solo. I decided to take a chance and started venturing out to Meetup events and soon enough, I had more friends than I could keep up with - what a great "problem" to have! I can honestly say that Meetup.com changed my life and I'm absolutely certain if you join the right groups and make an effort to get to know the people there, it will change yours as well.
I started this group with the purpose of giving us hard-working, ambitious, and intelligent young professionals a much-needed break from the daily 9-5 grind. Since arriving in Atlanta over a year ago, I've met a lot of professionals who are interested in strengthening and/or expanding their social circles. If this sounds like you, you've managed to find the best-kept secret on the Atlanta social scene :-).
In all seriousness, you absolutely must join this group if you want to strengthen your social life quickly. Maybe you're new to Atlanta, travel constantly for work, tired of hanging with co-workers/college friends, or simply just want to meet new people. ...
Regardless of the reason, make an effort to come out and find out why we have over 1,600 members and are the largest and awesomest (yes I just made up that word) Young Professionals Meetup in Atlanta! To give you a better idea of what our group actually does, here is a list of our activities:
- Nightclubs/Bars/Lounges
- Billiards
- Bowling
- Weekend Festivals
- Hawks/Thrashers/Falcons/Braves games
- Movies, Concerts, Restaurants
- Random sports games (MNF, College Football/Basketball, NFL/NBA Playoffs, etc.)
- Anything else that sounds fun
Most of our events will take place in the Midtown/Buckhead/Decatur area since there are a lot of entertainment venues here. However, this doesn't mean we can't venture out and hit up new places - all suggestions are welcome. Looking forward to seeing you out at one of our events!
