Welcome Atlanta Young Professionals!

My name is Aaron and Meetup.com has helped me make some great friends and expand my social circle here in Atlanta.  I remember dreading the feeling of not having a social life to come home to on the weekends when I was constantly traveling for work.  What made it worse was the fact that I lived in the MIDDLE of the city (Midtown) where rent wasn't exactly the most affordable.  I started venturing out to Meetup events and soon enough, I had more friends than I could keep up with - what a great "problem" to have!  Meetup.com changed my life and I'm absolutely certain if you join the right groups, it will change yours as well. 

I started this group with the purpose of giving us hard-working, ambitious, and intelligent young professionals a much-needed break from the daily 9-5 grind. Since arriving in Atlanta over a year ago, I've met a lot of professionals who are interested in strengthening and/or expanding their social circles. I saw a need for a social group serving the the twenty-something young professional niche and decided to fill it.

You should join this group if you want to strengthen your social life. Maybe you're new to Atlanta, travel constantly for work, tired of hanging with co-workers/college friends, or simply just want to meet new people. Regardless of the reason, we're glad you found us! To give you a better idea of what our group actually does, here is a list of our activities:

- Nightclubs/Bars/Lounges
- Billiards
- Bowling
- Weekend Festivals
- Hawks/Thrashers/Falcons/Braves games
- Movies, Concerts, Restaurants
- Random sports games (MNF, College Football/Basketball, NFL/NBA Playoffs, etc.)
- Anything else that sounds fun

Most of our events will take place in the Midtown/Buckhead/Decatur area since there are a lot of entertainment venues here. However, this doesn't mean we can't venture out and hit up new places - all suggestions are welcome.  Looking forward to see you out at one of our events!
