ATX-Golang May

We had an amazing turnout at the previous drinkup, and it was great meeting all of you. The only thing that would have been better is if our huge group could have fit inside the bar! Fortunately, we won't have to suffer in the cold (or the hot) during our May drinkup, because Umbel has donated an office space for us to make use of. And beer. Not only that, but Agile Velocity will be providing pizza. Thanks to Umbel and Agile Velocity!

This month's meetup will be a meet-and-greet and a discussion of tools and personal projects. If you have a Go-related project you are working on or you are excited about any go packages or tools, I encourage you to share. I will share my experiences writing web apps with Go. Depending on how much time we have covering personal projects, we could do topical discussions around network services, graphics, distributed computing, debugging, etc. We will have access to a huge HDTV if you would like to plug in your computer. This will be a great opportunity to share and get feedback. If you don't have anything to share, please come and enjoy the pizza and beer -- it should be a fun learning experience.

    I had to leave early but it was good fun. Looking forward to the next one. I'd be happy to talk about what I learned while building a parallel Sudoku solver in Go

    Thanks, Cody and Brian, for the great venue, food, and drinks. And thanks for letting me do show'n'tell. It's fun to make toys with Go. I kind of blasted through a bunch of stuff, so if there's something you'd like me to cover in more depth, please let me know.

    @Pete Wilson
    I bookmarked Ian's GH account last night. (mostly for Gordian which would be useful for a side project I'm working on.)

    Thanks for open sourcing lots of cool stuff Ian!

    Sadly, I had to miss it. What'd I miss?
