We are trying to increase the ability of people to turn up by choosing a night that the fewest people can not attend. Hows that for confusing logic? We expect Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be out for 99% of people.

The group is changing to a two+ hour format with multiple presentations. This means a break in between to eat and talk, and further chatting afterwards. The next question revolves around the shift to 6:30pm because quite a few people can't make it until then, and thus miss the first half of the first presentations. The question is should we move to 6:30pm start, but with a 6pm open-discussion whereby the JUG co-ordinators pose discussion topics a-la open/un-conferences to stimulate group discussions e.g. Java oriented events of the last month.
