Auckland Board Gamers Pages

Haere mai e hoa. Welcome to our Group

Names to faces. Meetup is about helping people who don't always know each other to get together. Please add a photo of yourself to help people identify you. It doesn't have to be your primary photo.

Links to Boardgame Geek (BGG) are useful. For anyone who hasn't come across BGG, it is pretty much the most comprehensive board gaming website around - every gamer should know about it and have a profile! Managing your collection and showing it to others is easy.

If everyone has a profile and lists all the games they have or at least those that they play regularly, it will allow other members here to view them and possibly see what games they may like to play. This helps Meetups to occur.

Creating a Meetup

Anyone who is a member can create a Meetup listing. If three or more people are attending, it goes to the main page. When creating a new meetup listing, please follow these recommendations.

Meetup header - Please add a location and either type of games proposed or the game itself.

Location and Date - Meetup is primarily for advertising an event. If you would like people to attend an event, you need to let them know where it will be and when it will happen.

What games are you playing? - If there a few games you really want to play, list them. Please state if its a learning game or if your looking for someone who has played it before to help teach the group.

Add an RSVP limit (at the bottom of the meetup form).

No shows

Please be considerate, if you can't make it to a meetup you RSVP'd please remove yourself as soon as possible, please contact the organiser if its a last minute cancellation

Discussions Board/Photos

Feel free to make use of these resources. The Discussion Board is a good place to request to play a certain game.
