Anyone for a game on sunday ? (GoT or anything else)Last days in Auckland and NZ !

That is sad to hear Thomas, just when we were becoming good enemies ;)

I'm not sure what I'll be up to on Sunday, but if I'm free I'll let you know.
Is anyone familiar with Eclipse or Twilight Imperium?

Yes! I am always up for a game of TI3. AGoT is my favourite game and I was keen to shout out and join you all over the last couple of weeks but I have been away... If anyone is up for another game or two please let me know! I do own a copy (well two copies, the original and 2nd edition...) but not with me in Auckland at the moment...

I haven't played TI3 yet but it looks interesting. Was keen to hear an opinion from an actual player.
TI3 is a beast of a game! I love it but don't have a copy unfortunately. It is big and epic - if you are fine with a long game.

I wondered about the length to play out. Seems it takes much the same time frame as Axis and Allies.
Aye. 4-6 hours is fair enough. Best for a day session, but very doable for a late-ending evening session if the players are experienced. Plus its not one you want to rush!
Anyone up for a game of GoT during the week some time... say 6 pm'ish ?
I am good this week for an evening game.
hmm you guys realise it will be a good 4-6 hours eh? i'm not sure about my plans this week but i'll keep you guys posted.. think i have plans on thu/wed so if anything it will have to be fri but not sure atm..
We can limit the time people have to plan their moves, to move thinsg along.
Well it wouldn't bother me if we didn't finish it. 3 or 4 hours of game would be worth it regardless IMO.
And the game ended before i could back-stab Thomas

Ah ah, I knew it was just a matter of time before you come for me !
You were engaged in the north, was just waiting for my chance
And I think your house was the best one to back stab someone. Just use the card with which you can attack again, and it mkes a huge difference in just one turn !
You knew it was coming.
Interesting game. I enjoyed it, although it was all cut throat and seemingly unpredictable based on the movements of many. I don't know if there would be any winning formula when success relies heavily on what the other players do. I probably have to play it a few more times to know.

Your strategy depends on which you play as well. I tried to dominate the south as the others were ignoring us. But House Dorne was no pushover.
yeah well, I have a totally new plan for my next game :)
Ah ah, I'd love to see that :-) I'm not sure yet, but I could manage to be there for a game on the 10th of february if a game is planned !
And congrats to Vienna for laughing her way through such a barrage of conflicting directions. Not to mention the calamitous defeats.
Thanks Glenn, that's the most impartial comment I heard all day :-)
haha good one! :D
Told you Vienna, "a Lannister pays always his debts" ;-)
I should have watched the tv series in advance. :-)
I am keen to play carcassone extension or 7 wonders, if anyone is interested.
Yeah I'd like to try out the Carcassonne expansions too.. Can work out the details later this week.
Yep thanks all ;) Next time I'll have more of a clue.
Thanks Guys, was a fun session.
See reply to Glen below.
Ask a question, share something, or leave a comment...Has someone got the game ? I notice that Richard hasn't signed up.. so I'm wondering. I have actually brought my own set of Carcassonne which has 5 expansions, so I have that if we need.
0 · January 26, 2013
Yes I have dropped the game off. But good to know you have all those expansions of Carcassonne. Bring it along to show people. Have a good game.
We were talking about good games yesterday : here is a good REAL Cooperative one ;-)http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/30549/pandemic
I played it a few times, and loves it :-)
