I'm 25 and live in Auckland since November. I am a trained and passionate barista, probably workoholic and on a slow downfall toward social awkwardism. I'm not a real nerd, I'm a nerd's sister. Both my brothers are the biggest nolives on the planet, and under their influences, I came to appreciate things like role playing games, movies marathons, Final Fantasy farming and getting lost in comic cons. As I grew up, I took a different path and focused on being the most feminine metalhead of my entourage. But since I left university, I have much more time to fall back into the deep dark social vacuum of books and movies. I have a lot to catch up on. So I started reading Lovecraft and Douglas Adams. My love for The Big Bang Theory left me little choice but to learn physics again just so I could laugh with Sheldon, and not Penny. 50 years late, I discovered Star Trek but I'm still a noob : can you believe I haven't seen Aliens yet ?

I don't know how I could ignore this show for so long, but I just got into Star Trek and grew a deep admiration for Mr Spock. Maybe I have a thing for guys with make-up on... Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the character's development from the writers and acting from Leonard Nimoy. I really didn't expect that from what first seemed to be a cheap and kind of ridiculous show. I was very wrong...
