A bit about me...

I'm a fairly simple guy, my friends back in Wellington dubbed me "boy scout", a title at times seems like a compliment and at others not so much. I love looking at the world through limitless eyes, that's what sci-fi means to me I guess; an image, a story of what our imagination can lead to. Blurring the line between real and what was otherwise i reals is one of the main reasons I became an architect, so any chance to take that further is always a plus for me.

What are your favourite sci-fi movies, books and TV shows?

Prometheus- love the story of the art work (Giger) grew up watching shows like stargate, Star Trek, battlestar galactica... There's just so many to name. Umm I loved fringe, falling skies... Sooo many

Who do you think is the best sci-fi character?

Ahh really?? Umm I guess if I narrow that question down to characters I've seen in recent films; I would have to say, the silence and I unnerving violence of the alien in Prometheus, our 'ancestors' desire to disregard us, that sense of unknown made that character very intriguing, it left me with so many more questions, I believe a good sci-fi movie leaves you with a hint of an answer, but an answer that makes the viewer ask so many more questions....

If you were sucked through a wormhole, in which sci-fi universe would you like to end up?

I guess the way that question is presented to me, it makes me think immediately of the TV series, Farscape. The idea of living in space in a living ship exploring the universe, lost and looking for home or a home of sorts, going into further unknowns... That would be my universe

How did you hear about Auckland Sci-fi?

Google search mainly (few failed attempts searching for a place like this but eventually got here)

Hi everyone, I'm an architect new to Auckland, basically don't know a soul here. Looking to get out there and meet some nice people with similar interests, make a few friends and get to experience everything Auckland has to offer.
