Good insight to web standards from two key companies. Very strong on the developer front, would like to see/hear more on the design front.

good to see what's coming, and for the IE & FF guys to duke it out

Fascinating to have reps from Microsoft and Mozilla in one room. The Microsoft sotry was more about PR, though they showed some nice tools. The Mozilla guys were more compelling from a developer's perspective. Overall, it was more about demos and browser release plans than about HTML5 itself. But still a good night..

Great session, not only HTML5 but IE8 vs Firefox!

It was a big meetup - standing room only which is about the only criticism - not enough seats.

Great speaker and a real hub of activity for the NZ web community. Looking forward to the new venue as it was tiring standing at the back for that long.

The best thing about blockbuster presentations like this month's (headlined by The ROC) is that it brings everyone out. The vibe was great, no small feat in a beer-starved environment.

Microsoft guy was a bit disappointing. Spent more time goading the Firefox people and hyping IE8 than talking about HTML5. Firefox people were good.

Very interesting. The mozilla guy is just fasinating.

Microsoft was good, but talked a little long

Good balance of talks - Microsoft vs Mozilla heh, heh - but by 9 a few people were bolting out the door. Maybe food at start or a shorter break? New venue will be good - MDS was packed.

HTML5 <video/>? Why reinvent the wheel as a square? What a joke. Flash did all that 4 years ago.
