Er, is that you, JavaScript??

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • There's been a bit of revolution going in the JavaScript world: new engines running code at speeds comparable to C, new areas (Server-side, databases), HTML5 APIs, mobile web applications, new language standard published last December after years of stagnation etc. But hang on, this is JavaScript - that yucky language we used for image rollovers in the 90s? Surely it's still broken beyond repair, or is it?

I'm the creator of CorkboardMe (http://hello.corkboard.me) and I'm planning a stint in Dublin end of Sept. - Oct. I'd love to talk about our stack and how we use JavaScript to our advantage.

Guys, this is only an 'idea' for a meetup at this stage. If anyone feels like this is a topic that they could talk about or if they know somebody who would be a good fit for this then please let me know.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
