We tried out Cafe Express on N Lamar for our most recent meeting and the feedback was generally good. I've changed this month's meeting (March 28th) to this location. If anybody has any issues with this, would prefer our last venue, Maiko Sushi Lounge, or anywhere else for that matter, please let me know.
The April meeting (Ann Pratchett's "State of Wonder") is scheduled for April 25th. Unfortunately, I cannot make this date which was set prior to my taking over the organizer's role. Options are: someone else kindly volunteers to host this meeting/ we switch to the day before/after or we postpone to the following month. Again, your thoughts will be appreciated.
Finally, an author who has been translated into 42 languages, who is on best-seller lists across the world from S Korea and Australia to Italy, Germany and even America, whose most recent book sold a million copies in its first month in his native country, caused bookstores to open at midnight in both the UK and the USA when it was published there last October, sold out its first printing in France within a week and appears on Amazon.com's worldwide top twenty list?
Love him or hate him, we are talking about Haruki Murakami's "1Q84", the subject of this month's meeting on March 28th.
