Chef Cafe - Hack and Discuss Chef

Want to hear about the latest Opscode news, have questions about Chef or just like coffee? This is your chance to catch up with Austin Chef users and share your experiences and maybe show off what you're up to. We have a private room at Monkey Nest Coffee, so stop by for an hour or two before work for coffee and socializing. Hosted by local Opscode employee Matt Ray, this is an informal meeting with no fixed agenda or presentations and everyone is welcome regardless of your Chef experience. If you have questions, this is a great place to ask them and make local connections.

Thank you for hosting the meetup. I learned a lot and will be attempting to implement chef soon.

Is there a an community where system admins can share tips, war stories, or ask for suggestions on how to solve issues they are currently facing?

At my old job all the hosting was the Rackspace and I could always ask the Rackers for suggestions. At my new job I'm the lone Sysadmin in an all AWS environment and it is a cold world without anyone to bounce ideas off of.

Really looking forward to getting into chef and seeing how it works. Haven't had any exposure to it other then in passing conversations.
