Enchanted Rock State Natural Area consists of 1643.5 acres on Big Sandy Creek, north of Fredericksburg, on the border between Gillespie and Llano Counties. Visitors can enjoy primitive backpacking, camping, hiking, technical and rock climbing, picnicking, geological study, bird watching, and star gazing (minimal light pollution).
We will be camping Friday and Saturday night in the Walk-in camping area. It is a water campsites.
Bring whatever food you want for yourself and feel free to bring something to share if you like. Use the message board to discuss. Food Planning.

CAMPSITE FEE: $6/Person, payable to me upon rsvp.
ENTRANCE FEE: $6/Person payable at the gate.
PARKING: Parking area approximately 25-100 yards from campsite. There is a limit of 2 vehicles per site, so once again, try to carpool or possibly pay an excess vehicle fee. Please use the message board to share a ride.
SHOWERS/TOILETS: Showers and restrooms in the camping area. There is a message on the website: Restrooms and showers may be closed, due to lack of water production from the well because of draught & high usage. In the event of a closure portable toilets will be available.
KID FRIENDLY: Yes. Please read our policy on camping with children.
DOG FRIENDLY: Yes. Pets must be attended and on a six-foot leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in any park buildings, cabins, or shelters. Please read our policy on camping with dogs.
RV CAMPING I don't think RV camping is allowed. It's not mentioned on the TPWD website.
OTHER RULES: No Boating or swimming in the lake. Public consumption or display of an open container of an alcoholic beverage is prohibited. Gathering of firewood is prohibited.
DIRECTIONS: The park is 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on Ranch Road 965, or from Llano, take State Highway 16 for 14 miles south and then go west on Ranch Road 965.
