*** We Have FANS NOW!!!" ***

Topp has been wanting to get folks together for some time to get this thing done. He and his group of helpers will add more details as this gets ramped-up. The place is already booked and paid for (thank you Topp). We have the space for the BBQ from 9am to 9pm, for those who want to come out. There are even camp sites for those wanting to camp. Please contact Parks & Recreation Dept to make your camping reservations. Info below.
****************************************
Since this is to be a Potluck & BBQ. We are asking that you please bring a side dish to share with everyone, but bring your own "main course". There will be folks there to cook your food how you like or you can do it on your own. There is a charcoal BBQ pit near our area (charcoal will be provided). There will be a gas grill for those wanting to BBQ and are not familiar with charcoal. The pits will be open for cooking from 11-2.
We will have plates, napkins, and plastic utensils for you at the park. Please do make sure to clean up your area. We will have a clean up crew in place but I know AMRG takes care of everything very well.
Please remember that NO GLASS CONTAINERS are allowed in the Park. Please bring your food and beverage items out in non glass containers.
We have also lined up some activities for this day, so bring your tattoos...
************** ACTIVITIES ******************
Please sign up if you plan to attend and if you can comment telling us your side dish that would be great (so we don't have 15 potato salads and 1 bag of chips). This will also help us with a head count.
So feel free to bring family, friends, other riders, and a side to contribute to the BBQ.
Park personnel have given us the ok to have live music, as long as it does not disturb the tranquility of the park and fun for others sharing the park. So if you have acoustic guitar playing skills, Greg Jones would like to speak with you (email Greg through his profile). If you have ever been to Luckenbach and seen the pickers circle this will be kind of similar.
Ok now for the other fun stuff...
There will be 3 different "biker games" that will be played. But only 1 of these games do you have to have a bike for. All will be fun to play and to watch. Biker games will begin about 3:00.
What would a biker gathering be without a bike contest? There will be several categories and will run from 3:00-4:00. Winners will be announced at 4.
Last but definately not least...
There will be a "hidden tattoo" contest. You can take that how you want but remember we are in a public park and there will be families there. Topp has graciously donated a $25 gift card to Outback Steakhouse for the winner of this contest. Tattoo contest will be right after the bike contest winners are announced around 4.

** FINAL UPDATE(s) **
With just under 1week left to go before this event everything is still coming together nicely. We have a few people who have offered to bring potato salad. So we appear to be good on that.
I will be bringing out several bags of charcoal, and 1 tank of gas for my gas grill. It would be nice to get an idea of who is bringing what kinds of meats, and side dishes. So if you are still reading this, please email me or just add comments as to what you are willing to contribute for this.
** 6/28/2012 UPDATE(s) **
Since the weather is expected to be in the 90's and Ric B. is still looking to bring out a Margarita machine. So we will have a Margarita machine out with us and up to 3 gallons of Margaritas/3 gallons of Hurricans. Anyone wishing to contribute to this endeavor, please feel free to contact Ric B. via his email thru this site.
Joanne and Richard have donated paper plates, napkins, plastic ware to our cause even after not being able to make it out! WOOHOOO! to the both of you for adding to the fun!
Something to Ponder...
I would also like to ask if "you" - AMRG members, have industrial shop fans 30" or larger in diameter that they are willing to bring out for the day??? This would be of GREAT HELP in cooling the area down. If so please bring it/them!
Remember, we will have outlets out there for use and electricity. I am also dragging along my heavy duty 12gauge extension cord. If you have extras, feel free to bring them as well.
Finally, I with "Di" and her family have visited the area we have for our event. It definitely has space for over 60 people to sit under cover. Immediate access to restroom and parking. The kids have a park that is viewable from the BBQ area.
The camp sites are a short walk from the Pavilion we are under. And each camp site shares shade trees and parking for your vehicle. NICE!
Also, any one wanting to bring out games to play (i.e: horse shoes/washers/dominos/etc) please do so. Just NO GLASS!!!
Well, I am finished with updates to this page. Look for us out at the park on Saturday. What ever time you arrive, is the time you arrive. Come out, have fun, relax and meet your fellow Austin Motorcycle Riders :0)>
P.S. There is camping available but you must set it up in advance. That is not something AMRG can do. Contact the Parks and Rec Dept.

Great day for everyone to get together and meet some old and new friends. Topp and Di, you two did a great job putting this together. There was plenty to eat and drink for everyone. Awesome time.
July 2
I got to meet some great people. The food was great and there was plenty of it. This was my 1st event with this group and they really made me feel welcomed.
July 2
Topp I will be posting the pictures shortly. I just wanted everyone to know that I am very respectful of every one's individual's privacy and other personal choices. As a hobbyist and enthusiast photographer, I don't post anything that can be perceived as disrespectful, demeaning or similar. This is not meant to offend anyone of us but at times we have to remain conscious and careful. I also will not post any specific family pictures that may include young children or those under age.
July 1
This was so much fun. Thanks Topp for all your prep work in getting this setup. Big thanks to CJ for the fans.
July 1
This was a great time for us. Thanks to all who attended and brought food and beverages to share as we had more than enough! I hope that we are able to do this again.
July 1
Plenty of awesome food and fun friends. I do hope this becomes an annual or even biannual event! Thanks to the organizers.
July 1
Rideo - Rodeo, It was funny I was talking to Topp last night and when he posted this BBQ I thought he was somehow incorporating it with the 69th Annual Georgetown Rodeo which is also happening this weekend at the fairgrounds in Georgetown.
June 28
I'm planning on bringing chicken meat for fajitas and hamburger meat for the grill. We will most likley go straight to the park.
June 27
@Topp and ALL, I really hate to miss this. Sounds like it will be a great time. But I have another obligation, at least that morning. Possibly see you all later if I can get away. Have a GREAT time.
June 26
U can also post what u are bringing in your comments when u RSVP & then everyone can go down the list & see what you are bringing. U are welcome to bring whatever drinks u want just remember NO GLASS. This is going to be an awesome event with fun games and a great place. Please just remember to bring your main dish but a side for others to try. We don't want just one person to be responsible for bringing everything. This group more than pulls their weight & that always makes for a great time.
June 26
If I get my bike completed/ready for my upcoming trip... awaiting a couple of bolts, so I can go ride/test it... should be in this week.
June 25
Topp, I am going to try to be at Twin Peaks Saturday morning to follow you out there on my bike. I have never been to Berry Springs Park.
June 25
I have a stainless steel Cajun BBQ Cooker if needed... but someone would have to come pick it up and bring it back to my house in Hutto - it's SOO heavy! It's like cooking in a pressure cooker, but with charcoal or wood...
June 24
Very sorry to miss this, Topp, but previous commitment calls. Richard still has the dry goods for you, forgot to give it to Di at the ride today....which we missed you at! Contact him to get them from him, it's a lot! Next year!
June 24

@Topp - I will probably be bringing my kiddo (and possibly camping gear), which means heading up there in the cage. I can volunteer to be a stuff hauler so more people can ride without worrying about carrying stuff on their bikes. Let me know if you want to make arrangements with me for this.
June 19
Topp if its still open put me down for Tater ( Potatoe) salad and an Jabanero sauce for our team who loves the spicy stuff. I will bring enough for our team. For those who loves hot stuff or extar spicy please send Topp your numbers so that I may make enough for all of us. It will be made Belizean ( from the country of Belize- my original home) style for your pleasure....LOL
June 19
Topp...having a case of cranial gas here at Casa De Money Pit. Will there be a location and time to drop off our contribution (food/beverages) prior to the BBQ? I don't know how well a spiked watermelon would travel on the back of my bike ;-)
June 19
Count me in to bring my share for this one also. As always I am excited about this one too.

FYI I was wrong about the HEB I thought it was Wilco park off of 1431 now that i seen more of the information I was way off.....
June 19
I will... thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to knowing and riding with you guys!
June 18
@ Rex, I could be wrong but your post about the HEB sounds like you think the event is at the Leander park just off Sam Bass and 1431. The barry springs park is on the North East side of Gtown. Sorry if I'm confused but I thought I should say something...
June 18
Just to add if necessary there is an HEB near the park on 1431 and Parmer Lane. Since I live like a mile from the park.
June 15
Most of us are going to put David to rest this weekend. Can we discuss it then? I'll help if possible.
May 29
Let me know about bands etc . They are easy for me. We have a ton of musicians and vendors.
May 29
