Young Conservatives to protest Obama's visit to Texas A&M

President Obama is to speak at 4:00pm.....

President Obama will be coming to the Texas AandM campus to be given a service award by President Bush Sr. The opportunity to make sure Obama gets a very clear TEXAS SIZED MESSAGE to stop the liberal assault on our country cannot be passed up.

Event venue: The Presidential Forum on Service will take place in Rudder Auditorium, located near the center of the Texas A&M campus. A security perimeter has been designated around the University Center Complex to include Rudder Tower and the Koldus Building. Access to both buildings will be limited to credentialed individuals and essential personnel beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday. Rudder Tower will be accessible for employees via the second floor entrances only.

· Event Time: The Presidential Forum on Service is expected to begin at approximately 4 p.m. Those individuals with tickets to the event should plan to arrive at Rudder Auditorium at 1 p.m. The doors will close at 3:15 p.m. – no exceptions will be made for ticketholders who have not been cleared by security by this time.
· Road closures: The area around the University Center Complex is expected to be congested throughout the day on Friday, particularly in the afternoon. From 3-6 p.m., specifically, entrance to the campus core from Lewis, Throckmorton, Coke and Houston streets will be restricted. For specific information on road closures, please visit the Transportation Services website at transport.tamu.edu. Transportation officials advise individuals to allocate extra time when leaving the campus on Friday.

· Parking closures: Lots 19 and 21 will be closed on Friday. Individuals who regularly park in these lots should use the University Center Garage on Friday only.

•Campus Visitors: Spence Park, located south of the University Center Garage between Houston and Throckmorton streets on the main campus, has been made available as a gathering point for non-ticketed individuals and groups coming to campus for the event. For specific requests, please email [masked]. Portable restroom facilities will be available in Spence Park, and campus dining locations can be found at: diningservices.tamu.edu. · Visitor Parking: Visitors coming to campus without a ticket to the event should park in any of the lots surrounding Reed Arena and use the underground pedestrian passageway from West Campus. Bus parking has been designated for lot 100E in the southwest corner of Reed Arena. Disabled parking with a valid permit will be available in the University Center Garage. For parking maps, please visit the Transportation Services website at transport.tamu.edu.

· Tickets: Attendance for the Presidential Forum on Service is by invitation only. Invitees to the event have been contacted directly with information on ticketing procedures and other event logistics. Approximately 600 invitations have been extended to Texas A&M students, faculty and staff.

· Broadcast: The Presidential Forum on Service will be broadcast live on KAMU-TV on channel 12.1, Suddenlink cable channel 700 and channel 4, and on campus cable channel 82. It will also be streamed live on the web at http://kamu.tamu.edu... “Watch Now” and at www.georgebushfoundation.org.

    Okay I have met the Bryan/College Station Tea Party Organizer and have a direct line of communication to The Young Conservatives who are the only group with a permit and are the group taking the lead role in organizing since it is their campus.
