Austin Adventure Network is a club for adventure sports enthusiasts - people who are serious about hiking (particularly long-distance), mountain biking, mountain climbing, back-country exploration, whitewater (particularly kayaking), backpacking, adrenaline sports, etc.  We are not a social club or a "meet market."  Our membership consists of athletic singles and couples who are passionate about particular adventure sports and wish to improve their skills and to meet and form lasting friendships with others who share their passion.

Adventure sports enthusiasts of all skill levels are welcome to join AAN, but in general, we host very few "unskilled" events, so it is expected that most people who join AAN will already be active participants in at least one adventure sport.
