Amhráin as Gaeilge (Songs in Irish)

  • May 4, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Beimid ag foghlaim amhráin as Gaeilge.

The songs of the Gaels are often sad, plaintive laments which conjure images of the mystic hills and islands which inspired them - at times haunting but always soothing, lovely and timeless.

Note: these are not english versions of the songs - they are in Gaeilge. (Scots and Irish)

I realize this is not everyone's idea of fun. It requires effort and a passion for the genre. However, that may be you.

    Hi Fin,

Looks like no one else is coming to this, so I guess I'll change my rsvp. Looks like a conflict with the Bealtaine get together (no location mentioned) anyway. I look forward to seeing you another time! Slán!
