Continuing Movie Night, we will be viewing two separate films. From 7-8pm, we will watch an episode of the show, "The History of Scotland"(a 10-part series), and from 8-9:30 pm, we'll watch a movie.

The movie will be "Song Catcher" a drama which reveals how the songs of Scotland and Ireland survived in Appalachia. See details here:

We'll meet every other Friday. If you want, come at 6:30 and bring something yummy to share for supper.

Thank you for generously opening your home, Fin, and for the info. on Morgan Llywelyn. The author/family friend I was talking about is Erin Hart, one of her first books is Haunted Ground. All take place in Ireland. Her husband is musician Paddy O'Brien, and his book isThe Road from Castlebarnagh - Growing up in Irish Music.

Thank you, again, Fin. The last two times I've been to your home everyone has been warm, welcoming and very generous. I appreciate it as someone who is new to the group. My main goal is to build community with others while learning new things, especially about other cultures. I very much enjoyed both the History of Scotland and Song Catcher. :) The only problem is that now I have an itch to get a cute pair of birds...thanks a lot, Sioban (spelling???).

Fin, long time no see. Song Catcher is a great movie! Happy to see it again, and learn more about Scotland. I'll have the girls with me - should I bring some food to share for dinner based on who's coming, or should we eat somewhere first?

I'm going to get a couple of Papa Murphy's pizzas. Whatever you want to bring would be fine :-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
